Let me preface this review by stating that the lights were really beautiful, they were very bright and the colors were quite vivid. However, there are some issues with trying to light up a tank like mine that they don't explain to you. If you have a small organic cube with a fish and a shrimp in it, then these lamps are what you need. In a more complex aquarium, you'll want the "Sunrise" and "Sunset" options. Therefore, CH1 must have its own timer so that it can turn on about an hour before CH2's white light turns on. As a result, they can also last longer than white CH2 lamps and give the illusion of a sunset. These lights are just set up with an EXTREMELY primitive timer that controls both CH1 and CH2 at the same time. You chose how many hours the light should be on, and bang! Both channels are switched on at the same time and switched off at the same time. I tried to request information from the seller via email but to no avail. The FBI could call it a lead. I bought 4 lights because I figured that with all the technology that goes into these lights, there MUST be separate timers. no As I said, I do not belittle the quality of these lights in any way! No doubt there are many new amateurs who don't know the difference and will be very happy with them. However, I sent them back. I would probably leave them if the two channels had separate power supplies so I could set my own timer on one of the channels to make it do what I wanted. A wired power supply. There's no way around it. If you're an advanced hobbyist and need a couple like me, charge $6-700 and look elsewhere. There are better options for more advanced needs. I haven't received a refund from them yet. I will keep you up-to-date!
