While not a perfect solution, they significantly reduce white powder dust.
I bought these to eliminate or at least reduce the amount of white powdery dust I get from using my ultrasonic humidifier. Although they didn't completely remove the dust, they reduced it. The effectiveness of this product depends largely on how hard your water is, how often you run your dehumidifier, and how often you replace those demineralization cartridges. The only way to completely get rid of white powdery dust is to use distilled water in my humidifier.
