I am learning to install a permanent solar system to provide portable power. I have four 12v lithium batteries that I connect to 2-200w solar panels and I like to see the state of charge when I assemble them and this has worked for me. I'm waiting for the battery controller so it can be swapped out once I have the battery controller but as I said I'm learning how to build a solar power system that I can take with me to my RV and that turns everything on when off the grid. I have upgraded/refurbished an old RV so that propane for hot water and cooking reduces the electrical load and so far I think what I have is a good start but I'm pretty sure I'll need 2 more panels with 200 watts going to add . and some batteries. I have a 3000w inverter so it should be able to handle the loads in the RV. In any case, this charger allows me to charge the battery(ies) and control the load of each battery before connecting it (via an inverter) to a power tool or other kitchen appliance. Great to have on hand!
