Broken speaker wire

I order two sizes to ensure I get the correct size speaker wire. The wires go fine, but when you connect them together, the top and bottom pieces that run through the wire actually cut through to the bare wire. And they didn't eliminate the noise I got from my speakers. They are made in China and are junk.
