My (Bestop 42917-01 High Rock 4x4 Black High Access Front Bumper for 97-06 Wrangler TJ ). The bumper that is supposed to be on my 2001 Jeep TJ has 7/8 strut holes. The adapter fits perfectly on my hitch and is easy to use and install. The pin fits into the D-ring hole, which is the industry standard on my bumper. I care about safety so I keep a bag with these clips in the car. You should always check them when you stop somewhere and make sure nobody has pulled them out or you might not have pushed them in far enough. (It's known to happen). There is no fastening material on the trailer hitch. I never use what they sent me anyway in this case, so I bought a nice set of American grade 8 screws. Eighth grade could mean anything. I've towed my Jeep nearly 1700 miles on freeways, mountain roads and a few places I shouldn't. Was, but lost. (So much for relying on his phone for directions) Worked great and really hard. You must love heavy, good steel and strong welds when you're hauling your prized Jeep at 70 mph knowing that sooner or later you're going to hit the brake pedal. Good luck drive safe (maybe I'm the idiot you gotta hit the brakes for)
