I used this to fix marquee on my robotron arcade machine. The original ballast transformer failed after 38 years and a replacement cost nearly $30. This LED strip is just the right length and half the price. The magnet mounts were already installed so all I had to do was place them on top of the metal plate that the old fluorescent tube was on and cut/connect the power supply to the original wiring harness. I left the original mount in place in case I ever need a true restore, but for now I just want my game to be fully functional, ticker backlight included. The brightness is perfect. Not too bright so it still stands out in a dark room without glare and the color temperature was just what I wanted. Very similar to the cool white light it replaced.
