Review on Transform Your Mac Laptop: OWC Data Doubler - Optical to SATA HD Converter Bracket Solution (OWCDDAMBS0GB) by Lisa Hedberg

I used this to install an SSD in my mid 2011 13" MacBook Pro. I think most people will do the same as me, so I'll consider this as that feature. OWC Data Doubler includes everything you need for this update, except for the hard drive you want to use. The bracket itself may look like cheap blue plastic, but it's actually a very strong metal blue material. I like blue and I think it makes the setup more personal and cooler, but that's just my opinion. If you want something more standard I would Google MCE OptiBay. All in all there were tools and screws I didn't even need to use which I guess just means they were for different models or something but all the tools are great and very good quality and I'll just keep them in my case. I will need to do something different with my Mac in the future. The only complaint I have is that the installation guide needs updating. As I said, I have a mid 2011 13" MacBook Pro, and the closest they got was an early 2010 13" sample. I had to follow the iFixit guide to remove the optical drive. I also recommend finding the iFixit manual for your machine, even if it's in the brochure, because the iFixit manuals are much better. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to make that upgrade. The price is steep, but if you can afford it, I'd recommend it to the competition.
