Overall this is a great large yet compact patio heater. Suitable in the garage (in my plans). 4 screws for attachment to the base worked without any problems. PROS: No odor when first turned on (expected), generates lots of heat and is fast, almost silent. I like that the power button has a clear rubber cover to keep dust out. CONS: The black metal plate on the front rattles every time you move the heater. It stops right away but that's probably my only problem but I'm sure a rivet or some super glue will fix it. The grip guard was also too difficult to put on so I just gave up on it. I wish it had some sort of improved built-in grip. I checked with a meter and the power consumption for the low-medium-high settings was: 500 --> 5991000 --> 10921500 --> 1497. Even with these deviations, you can still feel the difference between the settings. So it doesn't matter 10%, I think it's the tolerance for electrical codes. In general, it is also very effective. For our region, this was about 5.5 cents an hour, or $20, for a month of 12-hour day work.
