It only took me 3 minutes to install this thing. I read all the negative reviews and bought it anyway because I'm very mechanical by nature. Recently the bodywork was removed and a new bumper fitted. Removing the bed made it even easier. But if I had to do it like most people, it would probably take about 10 minutes to install (but we'll never know for sure). Since the truck bed wasn't installed, I had access to slide the clip into place, which most people don't do. To be honest it took quite a long time to get it working. I wouldn't want to try that with the bed of a truck.
