Like many anglers I have tried many products that claim to cut line easily. . . only to be disappointed. Stumbled upon this product on the advice of a store associate who said this is the only product he can recommend that actually works. He warned me about all the various crappy Chinese products that are privately branded by a multitude of "fishing" companies. He said he tried them all and they are all Chinese crap. However, he can really recommend this one. . . Doubting his claim, I played along and bought one! Use it all season it works great PLUS love the retractable cord. When I get on a boat to go fishing, that's the first thing I put on! strong Bought 2 more, one for my son's Christmas stocking and another for myself. I will never buy another brand of braiding shears again, let alone a piece of quality Chinese junk that some fishing company paid like 12 cents for and had a private label sticker on. If you want a loom knife that works, buy this one. I will continue to do this myself as long as they maintain quality control and performance. Damn, if I can only get one season out of each, it's worth it. If I get 2 seasons I will consider it a bonus. Don't worry about it breaking, but blades (of any kind) stay sharp even after a very long time. . . in a humid environment and realistically this time should be reduced even further. There is no other braid cutter I could heartily recommend! In fact, I can't recommend any other braid blade at all!
