So you stretch the cling film over what you are covering and then lower it so the film is in the path of the cutting blade and then cut. Once you get used to it, it will be very easy and you don't have to worry about moving it. Second, the opening loop is in the middle and separates the dispenser, breaking contact with the fridge and falling off if you try to lift the lid. So when you change the roll or feed the film for the first time, you need to hold it tightly, otherwise it will fall off. It doesn't matter as you'll only notice this the first time you cook it and every time you change the bun. But if you forget, you'll likely get scared trying to catch a falling donor. Overall, it's easy to use and gives you a second pair of hands to prepare meat for freezing or cover leftovers. So yes I would recommend it.
