I bought this after the much thinner case failed to protect my iPad out of warranty. Luckily, it has a tempered glass screen protector, which helped prevent cracks from spreading and also helped keep glass fragments from falling out after my iPad fell out of my travel case right into its corner. Everything was right. There was no glass. When I looked at iPad cases, I saw that this particular model has plastic bumpers that cover the front glass edges of the iPad. I didn't want to see the infamous broken corner all the time so this case was the perfect solution. Yesterday I took the case and followed the instructions to install it. Not everything went perfectly, but I can live with a few grains of dust between the screen protector and the iPad. I immediately noticed that the power button only responds with an accuracy of about 50%. Sometimes I press and nothing happens. Other times I press it and after a few seconds my iPad asks if I want to turn it off. It gets very frustrating very quickly not knowing when your power button is actually working properly. I tried to adjust the body, but the rubber bumpers are so tight that there is no room to move. Another feature that popped up right away was that my iPad was having trouble recognizing my fingerprint. That has never been a problem. Even after re-enrolling my fingerprints, my iPad keeps asking for a PIN to activate fingerprint ID. A small but noticeable and annoying feature. If it weren't for the strength of this case I would have sent it back for another option but I'll try to live with it. I'd rather fret over a $17 case than buy a new $500 iPad.
