You have a great feeling. Beautiful, soft and thick. The belt does not tighten. My daughter is at the top of the size chart for 4-6 years. She is 46.5 inches tall with long legs and a short torso. She is 46 pounds. They fit perfectly. You can probably get a year or two out of it. They are very, very pink out of the box, but as you put them on they lighten and appear ballet pink. Maybe that has to do with the fact that they sit well on it and don't hang at all. Her other pair, a little too big (and from a different brand), come down to her chest. They are perfect and hit her right at the waist. The "hole" in the lower part of the foot is quite large, but in ballet flats it does not cause discomfort. Again, this may be because it's at the top of the size chart. The big hole helps her "morph" solid very easily. I wash them in a laundry bag and let them air dry. I felt it was worth getting 3 pairs for the price of 2 and some brands for 1 pair. If that works, I have a backup!
