Review on πŸ‘– Columbia Women's Saturday Trail Stretch Pant: Ultimate Comfort and Versatility by Andargie Marquez

Great fit but easy to saw

Love these hiking pants for the fit and the price. Bought them here for about $36 and want to buy more, but the fabric is INCREDIBLY fuzzy. I also noticed that some seams have come undone. Not ones that compromise the structural integrity of the pants, but still annoying when you pay more than I paid. I've been wearing them for almost a year now and wear them three days a week on average. I'm still looking for my "perfect hiking pants" but overall they are still in good condition. For the record, I'm 5ft 6in, 130lbs, weight mostly on my hips and thighs and wear a size 6. I find them a bit roomy but very good for overeating on salty snacks when camping. ;) I also prefer pants that hug the calf a bit more than most hiking pants, so this was a solid design that suited my needs. The side pocket is good, but I wish there was one on each side! The back pockets are mostly useless to me because 1) fiddling with Velcro isn't fun and 2) I don't put anything in back pockets because I'm forgetful and I will probably sit on it. I would also say the "Saturday" markings on it are pretty accurate. I wouldn't wear them on a long hike as they tend to pill and have a tendency to unravel seams (which I would worry they would eventually fall apart completely in the middle of the woods). But they're good for general day hikes, boating (quick drying, SPF provided), car camping, etc., and are comfortable with spring, summer, and fall temperatures for my temperate climate (Northeast US). I would not recommend using them as winter pants unless you live in a warm climate or are well dressed and cold tolerant. My rating is between 3 and 4 stars depending on how much you end up paying for it and although I use it regularly I'm still looking for something with better material. I might buy another one of these jeans in a darker color to see if they use lint free material for this variety or it doesn't look that bad (I have the fossil color which is beige and personally it really looks like in the picture, but the peeling is TERRIBLE, it seems that I am covered with a small speck of dirt, and there are so many layers that it is difficult to remove them with conventional means).
