It wasn't plug and play for me as I had to install the driver from the Orico website (BTA-508 as stated in other reviews) but the installation was easy and successful which is not to be taken for granted is third-party driver. Just download it, extract the RAR file with 7-Zip, open the exe file, go through the setup and you're done. Most likely Windows does not support Plug and Play as the driver appears to be a regular Realtek driver. . It is surprising that Microsoft has still not integrated the driver into the operating system. My old BT4.0 dongle had the same problem but with much less luck installing drivers. In any case, my tower computer now has Bluetooth, which works just as smoothly as it did on my previous laptop. If I start having random disconnects or connectivity issues I will update this review in the future.
