Review on Enhance Pickup Truck Bed with BDK-MT-600A Heavy-Duty Utility Tailgate Mat - Black by Mark Turner

This item was purchased for a 2020 F150 to reduce noise and provide a flatter, softer tailgate as a work platform. The package arrived on time and in good condition and all it took was flattening with some weights overnight. It was installed the next day with a very thin end cut off and two cut outs for the tailgate latch strips. The material is very thick and strong and has been evenly fastened with the supplied self tapping screws (pilot holes need to be drilled) which have a countersunk head to reduce sticking or scratching of items when unloading the bed. I added a zipper down the center of each short side to reduce the bulge (this required an extra mat and drilling a pilot hole). The material seems very durable and should last for quite a while; If the screws are loose I would buy a larger size but make sure the heads are round and fit under the mat surface. I would recommend this product and suggest the following installation tools: cordless drill, Philips #2 drill bit, small drill bits, long metal ruler, light colored marker pen and a VERY sharp utility knife.
