I've had water in my basement due to heavy rains and every summer I have a small dehumidifier that doesn't seem to get rid of the moisture. After the water accident I decided to buy one of these drying fans and most likely use it during the summer months as well. As long as it dries very well. It's a smaller unit, but I have a large basement and I've found that moving it piece by piece really helps. The timer and the additional output function are a real plus. I hooked up an extra window fan to it and it works like a charm. As per other reviews it is very quiet. It pushes out a significant amount of air for its size. I'll have to see how he does in the summer, so I'll have to wait until next year. I sent an inquiry to the company to see how long I should let it run continuously or not. I'm awaiting feedback and will post for informational purposes as soon as I get a response.
