Review on πŸ”’ WAFJAMF 72 Pack Wire Shelving Shelf Lock Clips for 1-Inch Post - Replacements for Shelving Sleeves in Wire Shelving System by Christopher Isaac

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible quality control and uncertainty (see details)

When I broke the bars and transported them across the country I accidentally forgot to take the bag I put the whole shelf in snaps. Oops. Luckily, NSF shelves are pretty much a commodity these days, so the clamps should be the same, right? Everything initially went well when I received the WAFJAMF 72 Pack Wire Shelving Lock Clips for the 1" Post-Shelf Sleeves. I selected a product based on the cost per clip unit, along with Prime status and average review rating. I'm glad other people have had luck with these clips but I definitely haven't.The main issue is that the castings don't seem to be very consistent. Some of the clips seem to fit a standard 1" rack correctly, others appear to be smaller, at least a few millimeters Worse, the internal "rib", which is designed to fit into the horizontal recesses in the tube, is not deep enough on some of the clips to provide a proper grip Ultimately, the poor quality control of these clips didn't bother me much, I rummaged through my bag to find the 'best', while still substandard, they're good enough for mine e light requirements. Mind you, the only reason this is the case is because I'm not over 300 pounds overall on the shelf, or over 80 pounds on the heaviest shelf. If you were running an NSF rack at a significant percentage of its rating, using these clamps would be downright dangerous. Avoid at all costs.
