Disappointed boy

We are so disappointed. I bought this set for my son's 2nd birthday because he now loves all things digging and has been asking for this plate at almost every meal since, but it's only lasted less than a month! For such crazy money it was such a fun idea for interactive food to me but obviously not very good or we just accidentally got a defective one. The son is so sad.
