The cable itself is starting to fray around the power supply, as is the laptop's power supply itself. While not serious, it's clear that these issues will quickly escalate to a complete cable failure over time, and now wait we just hope this happens. I move my laptop around a lot, I mean a lot. He walks with me from room to room, and the power cord usually follows him, since the laptop itself is powerful, which means the battery drains quickly. I've tried larger batteries for other laptops in the past and they've worked for a while, but no matter how good the battery is, they all die in less than a year. Why pay $100 when I can just buy a new charger for about $20 a year and replace the battery every few years? Other than that, this charger hasn't let me down yet and still does its job without fail. Will probably buy again.
