Adjustment knob faulty, RitFit replaced it

In short -- the adjustment knob on this thing wears very very fast.I had assumed the other negative reviews of this bench were from people abusing the equipment or not using it properly. I'm 165ibs and I never had loaded more than 80ibs of weights onto this thing, and I only use it maybe twice a week and I'm very cautious, I never jump or bounce on it. And I just had the torso-bed flatten out on me while sitting upright, talking on the phone. While the bench was assembled and completely flat…

  • It is expensive for being a basic weight bench

First impression: great value

I picked this up for some dumbbell work when I don't feel like hauling my butt down to the gym. I just set it up today and finished my first lift. So far, I'm impressed. While I wasn't blown away by the level of packaging, it arrived undamaged. Even the rolled-up exercises poster wasn't crushed. There are a few translation errors in the manual, but honestly, setup was so easy that instructions weren't really needed. Within minutes, I was trying it out.The first thing I noticed is that it's…

Great until it's NOT

I bought this bench a hair over a year ago. Unfortunately it sat in the garage just being a chair from October until July when I started using it. I primarily wanted a bench I could do flat, incline, and declines on. I'm only using dumbells that are at the most are 50lbs each 3 days a week until the first week of December that it all came to an abrupt end.The assembly was easy. Overall was happy with the purchase. Over time the pull for the bench started getting stuck out and I'd have to wiggle

Pros
  • perfect
Cons
  • The bench is not suitable for heavyweight lifting

Wow, great bench for the money

This bench is comfortable to sit on, sturdy with metal that feels solid. The assembly was quick and made easier because the wrenches were included. Moving the bench from horizontal to other positions is easy as the knob which gets pulled out is the same mechanisms as used in gyms. It also folds up easily to stow in a corner. I highly recommend this bench.

Pros
  • It can be used for a variety of exercises, including bench presses, curls, and leg extensions
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people who want a lot of variety in their home workouts

Very good but could be better

I love that the product came mostly assembled. And I have found it to be well made and sturdy. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to replace the knobs that screw in to secure the bench in different positions with pins. The knobs, while beefy, are too cumbersome. Every time you want to adjust for a different exercise you have to unscrew, find the next hole, and then screw back in. This is a workout in itself! And the holes are hard to find a line up, so I literally find myself on the…

Pros
  • The bench is designed to be stable and secure, even during heavy lifting
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people who want to perform compound exercises

Great Bench!: my feedback

This bench is well built for a home workout area! All parts fit snugly together and seem well made. The screw type adjusters are the only thing I dislike about this bench; and, why I gave it an overall score of 4. I generally rotate through a series of dumbbell routines that require changing the bench through all the possible angles. Those screw type adjusters are slow going in and coming out; plus, I haven't been able to start the threads to engage the spring action. Detente pins, like the one

Pros
  • The bench is suitable for users of all fitness levels
Cons
  • The bench may be too heavy to move around easily

Good bench for the price

For the price, this is a pretty good bench for a home gym. The build quality feels not too far off from benches and some gyms and the ability to fold it is a plus. The size is perfect for me at 5'8 where the seat isn't too low or high. The seat and the backrest each have multiple adjustments so it can be used completely upright (pretty much at 90 degrees which is too upright for me and which I would never use), for incline/flat/decline bench press, and even for situps (with the backrest fully…

Pros
  • It's simple to assemble and doesn't require any complicated tools
Cons
  • The bench may not be suitable for people with joint issues

Nice but much taller than advertised

I bought this because the image with dimensions showed the bench was 16.1" high. Actually it's almost 20".Other than that, it looks nice and it's easy to assemble and sturdy. I sent it back because I'm very short and this is too hard for me to straddle, but if you're average height or taller it's a great value that looks good.

Pros
  • The bench comes with a bonus workout poster that features 35 different exercise options
Cons
  • The bench may not be suitable for people with back problems

RitFit Weightlifting Workout Bench

This bench is awesome, especially for the price. But dont let the price fool you. This bench has all the bells and whistles as the ones you see for hundreds of dollars. First let me say it was delivered early. The unpacking and assembly took no longer then 15 minutes. First impression was it's got commercial fell and look. It appears to be very durable. The back rest and seat have several multiple position from Decline to Incline and it comes with a foot hold that can be easily stowed under the

Pros
  • The bench can support up to 510 pounds of weight, making it suitable for a variety of users
Cons
  • The bench may not be comfortable enough for long workouts

Good workout bench: my feedback

So I upgraded from a Reebok Deck and this is a world of difference. I read a lot of reviews before buying this bench and I am glad I purchased it.Here is my use case:- I have a garage gym- I use Dumbbells and resistance bands- My dumbbells are adjustable up to 70lbs each and I bench about 60lbs each arm max right now. I also to inclines at 50lbs each arm.So far the bench has stood up quite nicely. I have no problems. The screw on pins are sturdy as long as you remember to keep them screwed in…

Pros
  • The bench can be folded up and tucked away when not in use, which is great for small living spaces
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for more advanced weightlifting routines

It’s awesome! good for me

I read hundreds of reviews on over 20 different weight benches and I’m so glad I went with this one. I needed one that could lay flat and also straight up (90 degrees). I also needed one that could support my 220 lbs but be short enough to the ground for my 5’ 4”. I didn’t want the legs to "roll” or have too big of a gap between the seat and backrest when laying flat. This one met all my requirements and the price was better than most of the others that were missing features. It’s been a…

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE AND UTILITY - The seat and back pads can be readjusted into different positions with 6 Back Position Adjustment & 3 Seat Position Adjustment . Tailor the bench to your training and lay it in an inclining, declining, or flat position for both weightlifting and equipment-free exercises such as crunches and curls!
Cons
  • The bench may not be suitable for people with different body types

A Great Adjustable Bench!

I researched so many adjustable benches trying to find one that provided great value at my budget. This one definitely delivers! Being 6'5" I was looking for a bench that felt sturdy and was large enough to accommodate my height. I am using this bench mostly for dumbbell workouts so can't speak to how it holds up under extreme weight but as far as the size, it is very comparable to the benches at the gym I go to. Does the pad go to the top of my head when the bench is inclined? No, but that's…

Pros
  • Benches
Cons
  • The bench may not be able to handle higher weight capacities

Sturdiness on my review.

I like the sturdiness and stability of this weight bench. One thing that I did not like so much, is the screw in adjustment knobs as these are time consuming and fiddly when you are trying to swiftly move through your work out routine. I'd much prefer a ball-head with a smooth pin, so that it's easier and quicker to adjust as you change the angle of the bench. (like in diagram B, in the instructions, when folding the table). If the seller would like to reach out to me with suggestions, I would…

Pros
  • The RitFit Adjustable/Foldable Utility Weight Bench is highly versatile and can be used for a variety of exercises
Cons
  • It may not be durable enough to last for many years

Overall, a fine product.i have a few knocks on the product. First, the straight upward adjustment position is simply too vertical, rendering it nearly useless for anyone with an athletic shape. You would have to be extremely skinny for it to be comfortable in the upright position. They should add one more hold adjustment so that it can be at a slightly greater angle for upright seating (for shoulder presses, etc). Also, the bottom leg support is not quite as square as it should be. It does not…

Pros
  • It's made with high-quality materials that are built to last
Cons
  • The bench may not be portable enough for travel purposes

Easy to assemble as others have noted, my only gripe is that a couple of the screws came loose in shipping and I found washers, bolts and nuts scattered within the box. Luckily all the pieces were there, but I had to be very careful searching the box under the flaps. The other inconvenience was that the metal was dented and I was unable to slip the legs into the metal square. Luckily I had a hammer handy, so after a couple hits I was able to reverse the dent and make it square.I was really…

Pros
  • I wish it was slightly wider maybe about 2 in. Other than that I'm very happy with it
Cons
  • The adjustment mechanism is a bit finicky

Feels just like a bench at the gym

I've been doing dumbbell workouts nearly everyday on this bench for 2 months now.Things I like about this bench:• Feels well made and sturdy.• Foldable form is perfect for apartment living.• Mine doesn't wobble, like at all.• That foothold thing is optional, you'll notice I didn't attach it to my bench.• Some other foldable benches sit really high off the ground for some reason, this one is normal height.• I appreciate that the design is low profile and doesn't look obnoxious next to my…

Pros
  • Adjustable Benches
Cons
  • The bench can be bulky and take up a lot of space

Where have you been all my life?

I've been screwing around at home on a blow up balance ball to try to mimic the exercises I use to be able to do at the gym. While I appreciate the glute workout I wasn't actually trying to get when I used the ball, it was too limited to actually do more than awkward presses. I saw this bench and almost peed myself. The price was perfect and it looked very sturdy in the photos. It got here quickly and I assembled it (very easy.thank you so much for that). It is just what I was looking for…

Pros
  • The bench is designed with safety in mind, with non-slip foot pads to prevent slipping during workouts
Cons
  • It may not be able to get low enough for some exercises

This bench has it all!

I have not been to the gym in a year. Being an older somewhat of an athlete, I have stuff lying around the garage. Old barbells, dumb bells and the such. Still I never felt comfortable laying on the floor or using the kitchen chairs for support. This past Christmas I ordered this chair. Why did I wait so long?! It is SUPERB. It arrived practically assembled. 10 minutes is all it took to get it ready. It is extremely portable AND sturdy enough to hold my 230 lb frame and any weight I use. The…

Pros

Cons

Good bench for the price

It is a good bench for the price. I chose it for the low height of 15 inches so I could plant my feet on the floor, as I don't have long legs and most benches available were 20 inches or higher. However, the manufacturer forgot to put a hole in the middle, near 30 degree incline. I had to drill one myself.

Pros
  • It can save you money on gym memberships in the long run
Cons
  • It may not be able to fold flat enough for some users

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Doesn't have the fit and finish of a quality item.

Passable for the price. But overall disappointing. Leather cushion arrived scratched. Nuts and bolts are not smooth. Leg rest and seat not designed for a tall person. I am 6 ft and leg rest does not support a full leg extension.

Pros
  • The RitFit Adjustable/Foldable Utility Weight Bench is backed by a lifetime warranty
Cons
  • The adjustment knobs may be difficult to turn
