This filter works. improves the taste of the water. I hope it removes imperfections. BUT! The big disadvantage is that it breaks off so easily when screwing. You must be careful not to overtighten it by one iota. it will come off and give you such a headache to remove the piece. why, oh why can't they fix it and make this little staff stronger, I don't understand. So you have been warned! Screw it in carefully and don't overtighten. it feels like it's not in but you better believe it or the little white plastic will come off immediately and it's a tedious process to get it out, I had to do it twice.
