Despite a very positive recommendation from a friend, I have not tried microfiber boards. Being a synthetic fiber, I was afraid that microfiber board would be hot in summer and cold in winter. I was wrong; These sheets are what I have been looking for for many years. In the past I have always bought medium quality cotton sheets; Differences in texture and softness between different brands and fabric weaves led me to search for that 'perfect' soft sheet set. Also, in the last decade, the relocation of the textile industry from America and Europe to Asia has resulted in a steady and significant decline in the quality of cotton towels; My last set of cotton sheets, which cost nearly $100 at a well-known bed and bath store, only lasted three months before I started rubbing holes in the area of the sheet just below my body. The low price of these sheets caused me to try them with little expectation given the marketing promoting these cheap sheets as "luxury" products. I've read the consumer guidelines and I know I have to ignore the ridiculous thread count and other similar claims on most sheets. Upon opening the package, I was surprised by the softness and seemingly good construction of the set. After washing (always wash textiles before wearing or using these days due to the dirty conditions in factories) the sheets felt even softer! The deep pockets of the fitted sheet swallowed my pillow top mattress and there seems to be enough room for another mattress! Over the past few months and multiple washes, the sheets still look brand new with no noticeable changes other than an increase in softness. The sheets were cozy and warm this winter, although I don't know if they will keep me cool in the summer. In short, I've become a fan of microfiber towels (if such a thing exists). The combination of low price, decent quality, and increased softness justifies the praise this and other microfiber bed sheets receive.
