We have a outward tilting window and we bought this for the heat wave. Because of the frame and handles the seal that goes on the window is about an inch from the seal that goes on the outside of the window frame, which created a lot of extra fabric that we had to fold and pin so it'll be sealed. Also the sticky part that goes on the window comes off sometimes, even though we thoroughly cleaned the frame before sticking it on. Other than those issues it works, convenient and cheap

This was very simple to install but the adhesion did not even last 24 hours despite being applied over a clean and dry surface. I used another brand last year and it worked great the entire summer. It was actually difficult to remove because it sealed so well. I will be removing this one and going back to the previous brand.

This thing is a lifesaver. They've found a way to install a portable AC in the most difficult window imaginable. It's not a breeze to install, but I can't see how they could have made it any easier. Perhaps including a little more adhesive velcro would be nice to account for installation mistakes. It'd also be nice if they could figure out a way to make the seal between the zipper and the exhaust hose a little more air-tight. I am imagining something with elastic. Arrived in a ziplock bag with NO DIRECTIONS! I didn't plan to reverse engineer this thing to try and figure it out. Anyone know how to install this on a crank out window? If and when I get this installed I may revise the review to reflect the actual functionality of the product.

Velcro tape is high quality, product itself is large enough to cover almost any window. Excellent product to cover the advertised purpose.

I have a crank style window in our apartment.1. This product does not tell you that you would have to monkey it around the crank to make it work.2. The zipper sucks. When you try to seal the duct.the zipper cannot carry the weight of the typical duct of the portable A/C.3. The product is too long to wrap around the window so you'll have extra product that you need to tuck somewhere because you can't trim it.4. The image on the website is misleading when I got my package was confusing on how it works but come to find out that it only covers long narrow openings in your window. does not cover the whole window which just happened to be okay for one window that is narrow.i have an older mobile home the old style jalouise crank out window and i was able to make it work.the opening is not tight around the vent will need some way to reinforce it.

Does not stick very well on my metal window frame. Temporary solution but product marginally holds up an AC outflow tube.

Super easy once you figure out which side goes where. The Velcro tape holds really well. I use it with a "portable” AC. We have an old house that has crank out windows and this works perfectly and is totally fine in the rain too.

These are a little hard to deal with around the sides, but overall they're great. My boyfriend actually didn't technically need one but replaced his solid window vent thing with one of these for convenience.

I love this piece! It allowed me to get an air conditioner for my bedroom with crank out Pella windows. It not only fit the window opening, but there was plenty extra for a longer window. The zipper fits tight up against the exhaust tube. I love this thing!

After long struggle with "How to use portable A/C with our apartment crank windows” and after spending time after time of plexiglass and other solutions that didn’t work for us, this seems to be an amazing idea that I have to admit I was extremely skeptical about but proofed to be wrong, I gladly recommend it to everyone! I needed a way to vent a portable air conditioner out a skylight. I searched and I searched and could not fit a window kit anywhere so I gave this a try. It worked! It worked great in fact. I would recommend this product.

It wasn't an easy route but it did work once I figured it out and am happy it does the job it should. That's my feedback. Fairly inexpensive.

Overall easy to install, just slap on the adhesive Velcro and you're good to go. Although I came to realize that every week or two the adhesive would stop sticking to the surface it's placed on during humid or hot weather (or both). When the adhesive stops sticking, it can be difficult to fix without being able to reach around or through the window to fix.

I was just about to drop $400 on a custom window insert when my wife discovered this product. At $20, this is a no brainer for casement windows.The good: works like a charm. Pretty easy to install. I live in an apartment building where it is impossible to have a window AC. We absolutely love this item! Very simple to install and works perfectly for a roll our window. The Velcro sticks very well and the zippers make it easy to have a vent hose simply out of the window without compromising letting air in.

Our windows come out and we had to find something to allow our mobile AC tube to come out of. This works great and also allows you to close the window when you are not using the AC.
