Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ Sony RM AV3000 Universal Discontinued Manufacturer: The Ultimate Remote Control Solution by Marci Estrada

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great value for money

Remote controls that do what they can often sell for 3 to 4 times the price. I bought it for $100 over five years ago and it still works great. I have NEVER lost the programming when changing batteries. The user interface isn't perfect, but it's more than satisfactory for a touchscreen remote that learns from your old remotes and is packed with features. I think it will control up to 99 devices! Fingerprints weren't a problem for me as I watched TV most of the night and when the remote comes on you don't even see the fingerprints. The screen is no worse than the screen of your smartphone. I will say this is an old model and probably out of production so don't be surprised if you get a used one. Harmony remotes cost three times as much when they came out, and they still do. I wouldn't pay more than $75 for one of these NEW or USED. Macros are easy to program, and you don't need to be an experienced programmer at all. No way. All macros take time to set up depending on how many commands the device is running. I just wrote mine on paper and did the programming. With the push of a button, the remote turns on my entire home theater system and tunes in to my favorite channel on the TV. I also have a DVD viewer macro and it contains all the relevant blocks. Currently, the Harmony remote, which controls around 8-12 devices, sells for around $300. This device also has an incredible range as it has four IR beams.
