Converter Failed and Destroyed Transmitter

I purchased the 13.8 volt, 10 amp version of this converter to provide a constant voltage for a 2 watt transmitter (a Hamtronics 220mhz exciter). As the transmitter does not like the variability of DC voltages out of the solar charge controller, this seemed ideal. Sadly that was not the case.About two months after installation the converter failed as evidenced by the transmitter going off the air. The input voltage from the charge controller was still present, but the output from the converter…

Pros
  • 5.91 x 5.12 x 1.97 inches
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with some types of solar panels and generators

Voltage dropped to 11-10v.

I purchased this as a step down from my 24V Lifepo4 to 12v. It worked for around 1 hour then my Fish Finder and USB charger showed the voltage dropped to 11-10.x V. I'm not sure if my units are taking too much power or draw so I ordered another one doubling the AMP and Watts. I will do an update once i find out if the new unit does the same.

Pros
  • Like compact size , easy to mount and labeled for wire hookup
Cons
  • May require frequent recalibration

Excellent product, top quality.

Super fast shipping, product as described, works EXACTLY as described, which is super nice. The unit doesn't get warm to the touch, but I'm only pulling 5 amps through it. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Exactly what I needed for my golf cart light kit.
Cons
  • May require additional cooling or ventilation

It is pretty well made but comes with absolutely no instructions in box. The wiring is clearly labeled on the back of the device with input/output. I bought two because I heard of some failing shortly after install. I have ClubCar DS precedent 48 volt. My only complaint so far is that access to screw holes it tight for anything other than screw driver. I use metal screws and drive them in with socket head. I struggled to drive in screws with drill. I didn't want to peak out the device so I only

Pros
  • Works very well for what it was made for. Was put on electric cart and cuts 36v down to 12v.
Cons
  • Limited availability of replacement parts

Works exactly as expected.

Works just fine. Using it to convert 18v Li batteries to 12v to run a vexilar for ice fishing. Nice weight savings and I already had several tool batteries to use instead of buying new lead or dedicated lithium batteries for the flasher. Output volts is 11.8v. Would be nice if it were a little bit smaller but build is solid.

Pros
  • The input voltage range makes it compatible with a broad range of devices and applications
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with some types of lighting systems

No adjustments for output voltage

Really wanted to like this dc to dc converter unfortunately this unit lacks a adjustment for output power was running at 11.6v and with loads was in the mid 10 volt range had to return

Pros
  • The voltage reducer can be used in cars, trucks, and other vehicles to power a range of devices
Cons
  • May not be suitable for outdoor use without additional protection

Works wonderfully 8V-40V to 12V 6A

My application is to run a CPAP machine from my 500wh Solar Power Station. These have lithium batteries with an unregulated output that swings from 12.5v down to 9v, which proved a problem when running with heated hose and water; It would shut off below 11.5v.With this regulator the CPAP machine sees clean power and runs wonderfully. The unit barely gets warm after hours of use. Now I'm set for camping and "Planned Power Outages".

Pros
  • The device is energy-efficient, making it a sustainable choice for powering devices
Cons
  • May cause damage to sensitive electronic components during use

Accurate Output in my review

Used mine to bring a 48 volt battery bank down to 12Vdc for LED lighting. Tested through a wide range of input voltage (44 to 60 Vdc) and output stayed right at 12 volts. I added a dimmer between the output and the LED lights. All works perfect. HINT: Watch your polarity if you are wiring LEDs. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Very good product I recommend to everyone
Cons
  • Requires constant monitoring to ensure functionality

Works as intended.: my feedback

Mounted to an aluminum plate on the inside of a cabinet and used insulated crimp connectors to make all of my connections. It has been converting continueously since instulation and no signs of any issues.

Pros
  • As advertised, just wish there were basic instructions.
Cons
  • May cause interference with other electronic devices in the vicinity

Good Product in my review

I'm using it to provide regulated voltage from a lithium battery to my telescope. Very sturdy and well-made. Puts out a constant 12.25 volts. Good Product.

Pros
  • The regulator transformer ensures stable and reliable output voltage, even under varying input conditions
Cons
  • Risk of component failure due to exposure to dirt and debris

Voltage reducer - my new review

Item works exactly as described, when the voltage on the high side is reduced the voltage on the low side stays consitent. The unit does have have a higher than expected draw with no load, .1 a.

Pros
  • It has a steady draw of 1/2 amp
Cons
  • Limited distribution channels, making it difficult to find and purchase

Does what is says. for my opinion

I'm running a speaker system that previously used a 120VAC to 24VDC 63W brick adapter. The system is now fed from this adapter connected to a 12V 20Ah battery/solar setup. This takes up much less room with less power waste and is working as expected with no issues so far.

Pros
  • The tool is versatile and can be used in a range of industrial, automotive, and research settings
Cons
  • May cause interference with other electrical circuits in the vehicle
