We had a smaller 2.2 liter water heater that lasted about 12 years. The only downside was that it started to rust in the water tank. time to replace it. After reading the reviews I settled on a 3.0 liter. It's about the same size at 2.2 liters (so it fits under our cupboards) and is slightly wider to hold extra water. We're big tea drinkers, so a few cups a day isn't uncommon. It works perfectly. One feature the 2.2L didn't have is an LED temperature gauge. Tea was usually set at 194 - 2.2 liters had "light". But when people in the house forget to add water and you find it's almost empty, you have to top it up and wait for the lights to come on. The 3.0L with gauge lets you see where it is so I don't have to wait until 194, I can fill the kettle up to 185 and be just as happy. 3.0L certainly makes a lot more water. Our daughter makes soup from it. So it has many uses (cutting tomatoes, etc.). Well done. Calm. Reliable. Highly recommended.
