After reading negative reviews, especially about the build quality, I was afraid to buy this product, but there was no real alternative, so I decided and bought it. I have to say the slider seems a little flimsy, but it's just a matter of how we use our devices. Maybe Sandisk could have made it a little stronger, but it was worth every penny. Immediately after using it for the first time, I noticed that there is a little trick to pushing the port either outwards or backwards. You have to press the button a little bit when extending, and it gets a little smoother. You also have to press the button when pushing backwards, otherwise the slider will get stuck. I believe this is intentional to prevent accidental or unexpected closing of the device when plugged into a PC or mobile USB port. Once you get the hang of it, you'll see that it's a great little device. There's a lot of crap sold online, including Amazon, but I find some reviewers just complain too much about everything. . I agree, and while it's USB 3.0 and you'd expect more, you won't see much of a difference from other manufacturers no matter how much they advertise. I am satisfied with this product and recommend it.
