This LATCH.IT RV Macerator Pump V2.0 is solid and powerful, yet sells for considerably less than another brand with a similar design.It fits perfectly on the sewer outlet of my RV and has a powerful pumping action that can empty my black-water tank in less than three minutes through a 3/4-inch garden hose. I use a clear 45-degree elbow between the outlet and this pump that allows me to see the emptying process.There are two garden hose connections on this pump. One is the hose that handles the macerated waste and the other connects to a fresh-water hose for washing and flushing the RV tanks and cleaning the waste hose. The inlet for the fresh-water hose features a built-in check-valve to prevent back-flow of sewage. Other features of this pump that I particularly like include the 12-volt DC power connection options. Various types of other fittings are included with this pump and are shown on this product's Web page.In my experience RVs rarely have 12-volt sockets anywhere near the waste tank outlet. Rather than going to the trouble and expense of wiring my RV for such a connection, my quick solution is to use either my jump-start battery which has a 12-volt socket or by using the 12-volt socket on my Power Station to power this pump. One of the connecting cables included with this pump has a switch, fuse and 12-volt plug which I found to be safe and convenient. That 12-volt cable is long enough to plug into the 12-volt socket of a nearby vehicle if needed.My photo shows how I modified a sewer clean-out port cap to make a hose connection. That minimizes odors during the tank emptying procedure. This pump even gives me the option of emptying my waste tanks into an ordinary toilet. Wipes, feminine hygiene products, dental floss and other solid materials do not belong in RV waste tanks and will clog any macerator pump including this one.In summary this macerator pump, like my previous one, greatly expands my sanitary sewer disposal options when I'm traveling and living in my motorhome. Rather than depending entirely upon gravity and my Slinky-type sewer hose at a RV dump station, this pump provides far more options to properly dispose of the contents of my waste tanks.
