We're an odd family and we love molds. I'd say we don't use them for the usual reasons, for example if I only drink half a can I put the pot on top so it's still fizzy the next day. It works. Mom likes to save 1/8th of a canned baked potato that she will never eat again until the next time I clean out the fridge. But seriously, we use them for storage, not plastic bags. Also serve food in it - for example, melted butter for artichokes. Both of those sizes are good - I probably won't be using the larger ones that much. They seem great for french onion soup. So if you don't think you need a larger size, you might want to look into a smaller set. They are amazing.
