Stunning image! I bought one of these cameras and was amazed at the clarity, clarity and color of the image. If you are looking for an excellent view, this security camera is for you. i love this shop I read so many reviews and got this impression: amazing technology; bad guide. I looked at the instructions that came with it and I have to agree. If you're not very tech savvy, I'd rather have a little more help. I bought the Blue Iris external software and am very happy with it. Blue Iris will guide you step-by-step through the setup process and the 238-page PDF manual will give you a good understanding of the ins and outs of working with a network of surveillance cameras. They cover all the aspects you need to be aware of (e.g. your cable company may occasionally change your ISP address, which will disrupt your setup. BI will walk you through how to set up automatic updates so you don't have to worry about it) API very easy to understand and by the second day I'm comfortable with it. No, I am in no way affiliated with or receive any money from Blue Iris. I just hope this helps other newbies who are hoping to set up a really cool, really useful CCTV system for their home/property. I've heard that BI Tech support is bad and I've already emailed them (no response). I will update this review when I have more experience with them. TIP: If your cable company provided you with a modem router where the modem provides ports for wired computers/devices as well as Wi-Fi, you may have an issue. These modem routers are becoming more common (you don't need a separate router to set up a small home network (LAN)). The problem is that you cannot get a list of all the devices on your network. During the installation, you cannot determine whether your camera is recognized on the network. The cable company has this information and you don't, unless you can request your own (separate) router. So call your cable company and don't hang up until you get the numbers you need and write down step by step how YOU can get that information back. (Before you call, you must have the IP address of the default gateway handy.) Back to the Jide Tech camera; it's packed with desirable features at a great price; including auto and manual focus, built-in two-way audio, 5MP resolution (amazing, like I said), PTZ (pan, tilt, and 20x optical zoom (non-digital), amazing infrared night vision, auto tours, presets, built-in SD slot up to 128GB ONVIF compatible Chrome and IE browser compatible on desktop/laptop/smartphone 3rd party software compatible (iSpy, Milestone, Blue Iris) Remote access and camera control via smartphone or other I/O devices or Android devices, send alarms to remote devices, IP66 rating, instant email support.)
