Fake carbon fiber panels.

Not real carbon fiber, the top and bottom layers are thin layers of 3K carbon fiber, and the rest of the material is non-aligned carbon fiber plates that reduce tensile strength. I bent it after cutting it apart and the flex is still there! A carbon fiber panel should not do this.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Obsolete

Fake carbon fiber panels!

Not real carbon fiber, the top and bottom layers are thin 3K carbon fiber plates, but the rest of the material is non-aligned carbon fiber plates that reduce tensile strength. I actually bent it after cutting it into pieces and the flex stayed! A carbon fiber panel should not do this.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Incredibly durable

I needed 500mm x 200mm but they didn't have it so the material was wasted but it's not their fault. I had to use 2mm as 3mm is incredibly strong and 2mm would be easier to work with. A Dremel with a coarse sanding drum (not a cut-off wheel) does this best. ALWAYS wear safety goggles (not just goggles) and a respirator! Carbon fiber dust is everywhere, so use a vacuum system whenever possible. Carbon fiber dust isn't as dangerous as asbestos or quartz, but why take the risk?

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
