Review on StarTech.com USB 3.0 to DisplayPort Adapter 4K Ultra HD, DisplayLink Certified, External Graphics Card - Mac & Windows (USB32DP4K), Black by Michael Gilmartin

I bought this card thinking it was a USB 3.0 external graphics card that does 4k so probably lots of jitter and good for basic web browsing, word processing, never video. I also never expected it to work on an ultrawide 4k display - I'm even more shocked. I can't believe I'm saying this - on an ultra-wide UHD display with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 from an Intel i7 laptop with 16 GB of RAM already pushing 2 standard 4k displays, I was able to watch a video without any noticeable lag view full resolution. This thing tops out at over 30 FPS and barely increases CPU and memory usage. Did aliens create this? Is that from the future? I wouldn't play games. It would be a fun test that maybe someone else can try, but for a USB external graphics card at this price point, that's unreal.
