Perfect, just what I was looking for. My indoor cat wears it with a flat clip on an ID tag in case she goes outside. She doesn't have claws, but she doesn't scratch them. Because when this collar wears out, which seems to last for years, I've bought a replacement, I love the collar so much. Because it's adjustable, it didn't lay flat initially, but did for a day or two after she put it on. If not, I would put it under heavy books for a few days. It's not for a cat with claws to tear it apart, but that's not a fault in the collar. And I'm not sure I would choose this type of collar for a cat that goes outside.
