Review on 🔧 Enhanced Single Speed Conversion Kit by Origin8 by John Camelio

The only item in this kit that I still use is the spacers. The tensioner has HUGE play (side to side) that allows the chain to loosen. The pulley gear has a bushing instead of a bearing, so it wears out after a few hours. The actual gear must have been made of inferior plastic as the teeth were also visibly worn. The two gears are fine, but it's just very thin, poor quality stamped metal; after a while they will bite your hub. I replaced the gears with Surly and replaced the tensioner with a Godspeed version (which has NO backlash and a bearing based pulley). Now my setup rocks; been using it flawlessly for many hours a week since 7/2011.
