I bought this modem to replace the original modem I received from Oceanic Time Warner and it is the exact same modem I replaced it with! Now I don't have to pay $5 a month for an Oceanic Time Warner modem! In fact, Oceanic Time Warner gave me three months of modem compensation (on credit)! I replaced it, called Oceanic Time Warner, gave them a new MAC address and 5 minutes later I was done! I highly recommend this modem to replace your ISP's (Internet Service Provider) original modem and save you the monthly fee for their modem rental! Mind you, cable companies claim to have a list of backup modems that they strictly adhere to, and that's bullshit! One more thing, it's a 2.0 modem and has an average Mbps transfer rate for streaming. If you stream many devices at once, you might want to look into a used 3.0 modem. I bought this modem used and it cost me 1/4 the price new! When I received the modem it looked brand new too!
