I bought this item in 2015 because of a leather sofa and armchair that was over 40 years old and very worn. The leather of the caramel-colored sofa and the dark-brown armchair was cracked in places and white. I seriously considered buying new leather furniture, but couldn't find anything I liked. I decided I had nothing to lose so I gave this product a try. I bought a medium brown for the sofa and a dark brown for the chair. I first cleaned my skin with Leather Ultra Clean and followed the instructions to apply this balm. The skin just soaked up the product and I felt the skin soften as I applied it in circular motions. It takes a little time and effort, but the results have been nothing short of amazing. For about a week I was afraid to sit on furniture because I thought some of the balm might rub off my clothes. I put beach towels on the seats. Finally I took an old white t-shirt and rubbed it as hard as I could but nothing came off so I figured it was safe! It's been 9 months and I've just applied the second coat. My only regret is that I didn't take any before and after photos! That's great. I've now applied two full coats and have about 1/2 can of sofa paint and about 3/4 can of chair paint left. Small things have a big impact.
