I bought these needles based on the reviews and thought they might be great as I think I'm still in the "beginner" stage. Although I've only been knitting for about a month, I'm pretty good at it (except at extreme speed) because I really enjoy it and my determination has made it one of my greatest passions. These needles are a nice color and the large sizes seem strong enough to do medium to large projects, but I'm not sure I believe in the smaller sizes either because they just seem prone to breakage since I'm more than sure they won't bend. They're well made, but as another reviewer said, they feel like a seam. I don't think the seam is a problem. On the other hand, I'm only giving this 4 stars because I think I could like the feel and lightness (in my opinion) of working with aluminum needles more. I actually have a bit of a speed issue and couldn't get it done with these. I keep them mainly because they are sooooo pretty. I know that all knitters are different, so I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying them out. but i just wanted to share my thoughts. They arrive as described and shown in the photo. I hate the color pink but the foldable storage was really good and it even has extra slots for extra needles.
