It performs as described
This is a powerful and quiet little pump. The out put is adjustable which is great as I don't always need the 8 ft. lift. Before I got this pump I had to empty 4 five gallon buckets of water every two weeks while performing water changes in my aquariums by hand and small bucket. I had to bend down about five times for each bucket to fill the aquarium up again. With this pump I can empty a 5 gal. bucket in just over one minute without the bending up and down. I recommend this for anyone who has to fill an aquarium by hand out of 5 gallon buckets or larger. The price is not bad. Now that I have seen this in action I want to build a pond with a fountain.
