I also have a Kenwood food processor/stand mixer/blender with lots of attachments. When it comes to combining appliances, a food blender or mixer seems the most logical, but when I saw this offering from Cuisinart, which to my knowledge is their first attempt at combining a food processor with a saucepan. There were some things that intrigued me even though it was expensive. I bought mine through the Bed Bath and Beyond membership program and saved $140 off the list price which also made it easy to return. I decided to test him for borscht. The test involves preparing raw beetroot borscht, an Eastern European delicacy, served chilled. I actually prefer shredded, which is what intrigued me about the Cuisinart Cooking Stand Mixer. But the beetroot juice somehow got into the cracks of the food processor's lid, which is a lot more complicated than a regular food processor's lid, as fancy locks tell the cooking system it shouldn't work with that lid. .and I couldn't remove the red dots. Also, you can't cook with the grating disc, so you'll have to take it out and take out the spindle. And if you want the device to interfere with the cooking of the borscht, then you need to pour the beets into the bowl, put the stirring tool in the bowl and pour the chopped beets back. Now you have a food processor lid, a pouring disc and a cooking bowl out of the appliance. a cooking lid AND a regular cleaning bowl. It's inefficient. For example, if you want to adjust the stirring speed after starting a cooking cycle, you have to start over by turning the knob. When I was cooking borscht, I smelled the smell of burning. I stopped the car, sniffed it - one of the electrical contacts at the base began to burn. I poured the borscht in the pan and cooked it on the stove, cleaned it, packaged it and sent it back. Bad design, bad quality, dangerous product - $699. Yes. Dear cuisine art! Please hire me to help you redesign this terrible product. I will do it for free! I can't imagine anyone on your design team actually cooking with it or having experience with similar devices. At least add some weight to the base! Good: - Has a higher temperature range (up to 285 F) than most other combo kitchen appliances. Enables the actual tanning. - Has a longer cook cycle than most - up to 4 hours - Has a good bowl size - 4 quarts, v.v. 2 liters like Thermomix - Has built in recipes - I think some people will like it. :-Terrible, clumsy design. Lots of parts taking up a lot of storage space - taking off and putting on a cooking lid is tricky, as is the lid on a food processor - doing simple things isn't easy - and nobody needs a food processor if they want to cook for one or two people, and that are people who will buy such an appliance - The steamer basket fits in the bowl and is very small - Terribly difficult to clean - I never managed to fully clean the food processor lid as my cooking stayed in the cracks stuck and did not come out. The single control knob made setting the cook time insanely difficult - you had to turn it 10 times to get more cook time and turn it the other way, which logically would count from start to finish. maximum cooking time four hours, done nothing - almost caught fire on first use - lucky it didn't actually catch fire - base too light for the heavy steel bowl that sits on it - easy to knock over too obviously designed for people who don't really cook
