Review on 📀 Samsung DVD-V2000 DVD-VCR Combo Player by Marty Wainwright

I bought this unit because I thought I would upgrade my 16 year old (!) VCR and work on DVD with one handy device. First disappointment: there is no LP setting on the VCR, which I think is basic, even with my old Hitachi machine (which works fine, although the sound quality leaves something to be desired when playing cassettes on other machines). Second disappointment: Even on the SP setting, the recordings were just awful - grainy, worse than my old VCR recordings, even on the lowest quality settings. I think this is a bad union of products - others have commented on poor DVD playback. Samsung has a lot to do. I'm sending it back today. The only positive thing is that shopping at Revain is great. You made it easy for me to return it and I will keep trying to find a good product. But more research is needed and I'm not sure if any of these 2-in-1s fit the bill.
