We have a winner! A few notes:

We have a winner. See my photos and details. Cliff Notes: For the price, this is as good as it gets. Longer Version: There are many people who need Cree but don't use Cree. I went through a few flashlight vendors and finally got what is actually in the photo. I took them apart to check them out and I liked what I found. Let's not forget the price, these aren't $200 capsules. . I paid $37.99 for "Auxbeam 2 Pcs 7” 36W LED Light Bar 3600LM CREE High Beam Spot 30 Degree Waterproof for SUV UTV Jeep Truck Off-Road Vehicle 4WD Boat Ford "The overall design is pretty good. The body is aluminum, the wiring is actually good enough I left it. I was planning on replacing/resoldering the cable with a better quality cable, but it's not needed here. As soon as I opened them up there was a good rubber seal on the end caps. I removed the reflectors and moved on to the circuit board and LEDs. As you can see from one of the photos the soldering is good and solid. I've seen some pretty cheap and terrible work, but this one stood the test. I couldn't 100% confirm that the LEDs are crooked as there was no marking and I would have to desolder the LED to dig deeper, but I'm happy with that, as is typical for Cree, it's a yellow square of edge to edge with a good bubble the top which is the easy way to led type cree. I unscrewed the circuit board and found a good amount of thermal grease on the back of the aluminum circuit board where the LEDs were located. I've seen some that don't have it, so I'm happy with what I found. is that the combo is not available in this size. I thought about buying a spot and cove, then took it apart and replaced half the reflectors to get the combination I wanted, but gave up. Cons: There should probably be an extra pair of screws on top to seal the lens. As you can see from the photos the lens flexes a lot against the gasket and it would be better if there were 4 or 5 screws instead of 3 at the top and bottom to seal/press the lens against the rubber gasket on the bottom. .Tips: I would take a clear topical silicone sealant and put a very small bead on the lens to make sure it doesn't leak like some people do. If it gives me a better chance of not having water issues, I'm willing to do it. Although I have no pictures of it. CONS: THIS IS NOT 7 inches but 6.5? from outer end cap to outer end cap. The central lens/LED size is only 5 inches. See photo Overall result: I can't complain for the price, I'm just thrilled. There are a few cheaper pods out there but I think I've found the best value for money. I'm happy with what they are for the price. I don't think it's 3600 lumens but I can't say for sure as I don't have a light sensor. I'll update the power consumption when I get my multimeter from a friend.
