Review on 🍝 Premium Italian Marcato Atlas Tacapasta Pasta Drying Rack: Collapsible, Blue, Steel & Polycarbonate Construction by Justin Albright

Nice design, breaks easily

Nice little shelf, folds well and looks good. The big problem is that it's essentially a stack of dryer rods, each attached to some sort of ring that goes around the center post. This allows the individual rods to move, allowing them to pivot to an open or closed position. The problem is that the points where the bars meet the center bar is a plastic ring. The bottom ring in this stack needs to be fixed to hold all the others. This is done with a set screw that goes through the ring and snaps onto the post. This should hold the entire weight of the other rings when opened or moved. The problem is, it's just a metal screw that screws into the plastic. This can either come loose easily, or in my case the plastic just cracked so the screw won't hold now. I've used it maybe three times. I can't imagine how inserting metal threads into a plastic case will hold up over time. Now all the rings just fall to the ground, so it's all useless. I can try wrapping some wire or tape around the post under the bottom post to hold it in place. Poor execution I'm afraid.
