I bought one of these fleece jackets for my girl last year and it shrunk so much it doesn't fit anymore. So since I needed another rune for the cold winter, I went on a search. NO other coat was long enough for my dog! I kept going through Gooby and finally decided to check the reviews. They were great and there were so many photos of long dogs with closed butts! Rschunimagu. There was so much talk about going down a size, but I didn't want to buy another large one because the last one had shrunk so much. My girl is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and her measurements: I think adding measurements to the assessment helps a lot so I'm adding them. Her body is very long and she also has very large breasts. So her big boobs pull the sweater forward, plus she's long so I decided to stick with her length because it was important to me that her whole body was covered and not her whole butt sagging! Also, this is Washington, so it's cold, humid, and dirty, so you have to wash several times a week when there's no rain. At the same time, in addition to shrinking, the first fleece perfectly withstood washing. Very durable. Anyway, I decided to buy an EXTRA LARGE for my girl and it fits perfectly! Ideal for neck, chest and back! I'm so excited. My only concern is that any comments on these things will be stretched. They must have changed them because the first one I got didn't stretch at all. But now I hope this new one doesn't stretch. I've added photos of the old (red, large) and new (purple, very large). You can see the difference and how much shorter the big one is. The only thing that confuses me is that there is no slot for a seat belt. While thin enough to go underneath, it goes well with the Gooby's escape harness. I'll try to remind myself to update in a month or two to check the stretch part, but you know how it goes haha. Most people who say they will never update. So I can't promise, but I'll try.
