This case is incredibly light, especially if you're installing an SSD. All of this is almost weightless. It's also a fairly permanent setup. The case is held together by six screws, and they only dig into the plastic from the other side, so you don't have to keep swapping discs in this thing. Just know this in advance and you will be fine. It's designed more for popping in a disc and leaving it there. I didn't test the case's environmental credentials as I don't plan on throwing my drive in the bath anytime soon, but I didn't expect it to be truly waterproof either. He won't be afraid of rain or spills, but I don't expect him to survive underwater in any way. Maybe that would be it, who knows? However, it will surely survive whatever I plan to put it through.
