Review on πŸ’ͺ Enhanced Performance SanDisk 64GB Extreme Go USB 3.1 Flash Drive - SDCZ800-064G-G46 by Eddie Gordon

Avoid all together. The USB stick has been defective since day one!

Purchased this device in 2018 based on The Wirecutter's recommendation for a high speed USB 3.0 USB flash drive. Usually their reviews and recommendations are well founded, but this is definitely not the case. Since I bought this USB drive, the write speeds have been mediocre at best. nothing at all agrees with what is said. I don't use this drive every day, but several times a week. So I don't think I used/abused it to the point where it started wearing out the flash memory. He's been writing terribly lately. Writing data to memory begins and then stops. restarts after a few seconds. then dives back into nowhere. A sanity check with an open source flash drive/card tester confirms my experience. several fatal flash write errors. some are recoverable and others are not. I need a flash drive to easily work and work without losing my data. When you're in the same boat. look elsewhere This isn't the flash drive you're looking for. I used to trust SanDisk for my mobile/portable storage. They have always been better than the others, like Patriot/Fuji/Lexar/Sony/Transcend/PNY. but it is clear that this is no longer the case. could this have something to do with Western Digital acquiring SanDisk back in 2016? I'm not sure I'll be buying more SanDisk products after this horrible experience. - Very disappointed.
