The volume is too low, jerky, I think I have a defective device.

I'm not giving up yet. I will order a more expensive model. Build quality is good but a little finicky, the subwoofer output was mono rather than stereo. Easy enough to deal with I think. The volume randomly doubled after some listening time. The overall volume is half the volume of the factory deck. So a total disappointment. I plan to find and try the best model. The idea is great!
