Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well with putty, adhesives and sealants

I heard about this product and have ordered a few other things from Revain so that's what I thought , add it to your order. As others have pointed out, the feel of this is the same as what I remember from Slime in the past. I can't tell you how much the slime container cost back then, but I have a feeling you're paying more now that it's a "high tech" cleaning product. I personally wish it was still in the little bin that Slime came in. The plastic bag it now comes in makes it difficult to remove the product and I quickly moved it to a more accessible container - the bin. a half-pint container from a local deli. One thing I didn't mention in the product description or in the reviews is the scent. It has a citrus scent, a bit strong but not unpleasant. Now I'm wondering how the blue version smells. Speaking of the blue version, I couldn't find anywhere, including the manufacturer's website, that says there is any difference between the blue and orange versions other than the color (and maybe the smell?). There was also a green home-use version on the manufacturer's website, which Revain doesn't seem to offer. The first thing I tried on were a few items around my computer - my monitor, my keyboard, and my iPod dock. The splat quickly and easily removed dust and dirt from all three. The keyboard particularly impressed me, as I've tried brushes, compressed air, and dampened cotton swabs to clean the keyboard - all with undesirable results. It took you less than a minute to roll Splat across your keyboard and it's neat and tidy! Using Splat feels like a coating on your fingers and the things you clean, but it dries quickly once it's off contact. with splat and I couldn't find any trace after that. Another reviewer mentioned that the splat stuck to everything and it was difficult to remove from the items being cleaned. I wonder what temperature he used it at. I remember refrigerating the original slime because gaming and warmer weather would make it difficult to work with. It's December in the Northeast and I started using Splat shortly after getting it in the mailbox. The splatter was still cold in my hands and I couldn't get it to stick to the fabric or crevices of the items I was cleaning. I'm a bit disappointed with the meager amount you get in the package - I'd love it if it was about double what I got. I feel less will shorten lifespan, but I need to make sure during use. In general, I am initially positive about the product and its possibilities.

Pros
  • Non-stick formula sticks to dust and dirt but not hands, works on leather, vinyl and upholstery
Cons
  • Expensive
