I like that they disappear on the counter and are easy to wash. I bought these because of the supposed slip resistance. They would be non-slip if used on granite, marble, glass, or tile, but my rental has formica and they slip everywhere. I can use rubber protectors for eyeglass racks, but I bought these mats to avoid having to do this every time I use a cutting board. It gets boring quickly! I'll do a little research to see if something can be glued to the back. Maybe silicone discs or something similar. UPDATE: Bought a clear silicone tube and punctured the back of one to see if they would work. When they were half dry I mashed them up and let them dry until translucent. Worked great. Now they don't slip anymore and I'm satisfied.
