Review on Subnautica Below Zero PS4 PlayStation 4 by Ada Adusiaa ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I can't say that I was completely satisfied with the product.

I really liked the first part of the game. Subnautica is a sweet, laid back game where you can flounder past the plot. Rest, relax. The game has some flaws and a torn (after visiting the flooded laboratory) plot, but nonetheless. Below Zero seems to be the same, but at the same time it is unbearably infuriating. There's a twisted plot. In theory, these holes could be connected into a single line by a higher being with the banal name Al - An (even the character of the game is kidding about this), but the trouble is that the higher being turned out to be underdeveloped. It is silent. And when it acquires its own body and turns into some kind of alien goat, there is no strength to be surprised. And so it was clear that the goat. This game cannot be played with hints. All meaning is lost. However, it just won't work. It infuriates that the shortcomings of the storyline filled with unbearable stupidity and the scale of the labyrinths. The game is full of labyrinths. No hints or guidelines. Go there, I don’t know where, and find that, I don’t know what. The wreckage of "Mercury", crystal caves, a lost river - all these are labyrinths of unimaginable scale, where the island of Phi is an absolute champion, consisting essentially of three labyrinths. One of the storylines is the search for an antidote and the "treatment" of a dead (!) leviathan. Good luck finding both! Although both are actually close to each other. Only the entrance to this labyrinth is separate. After some time, I decided to play the game again, hoping that my impression would change. But no - the game is unbearably infuriating. You just don't want to climb into any of these labyrinths again. In general, the main thing is that this game does not have a sequel.

Pros
  • If only there wasn't a sequel.
Cons
  • Ragged plot.
